Curators are invited to create the public and educational programme of Kunsthalle Wien
kültüř gemma! is awarding a 6-month fellowship at the art institution Kunsthalle Wien.
The fellowship is offered for the period of December 2025 to May 2026.
Kunsthalle Wien is the City of Vienna’s primary institution for contemporary art. At its locations in the Museumsquartier and on Karlsplatz, it presents an annual programme of exhibitions alongside public and educational programming that seeks to engage diverse audiences.
The fellowship is aimed at curators or art educators, as well as people who work at the interfaces between these areas. The grant offers the opportunity to develop a series of events in collaboration with the curatorial department and the art education department.
In order to reflect the complexity of the City of Vienna’s population, Kunsthalle Wien is offering the two locations at Museumsquartier and Karlsplatz, as well as the activation of outdoor areas and other external spaces as sites for consideration.

Skills and experience of the applicant:
- Active interest and experience in contemporary art, with knowledge of Viennese Art scene desirable
- Knowledge of current social, queer and/or migrant discourses
- Experience of developing and delivering projects
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Responsibility and Conscientiousness
- Fluent in English and/or German
- Ability to work independent and as part of a team
- Applicants must be resident in Vienna
