Le Wonder | International Research and Creation Residency
Le Wonder residency encourages research and experimentation for artists of all disciplines

The research and creation residency offered by Le Wonder is not focused on the production of a specific project. Instead, it encourages research and experimentation, whether theoretical, material, or formal. The artist and/or curator will be hosted for one month. It is possible and encouraged to organize an initial presentation of their work at the beginning of the residency.
Each residency may conclude with a research presentation, which could take the form of an open studio, a lecture, a workshop, a screening, or a banquet. This final presentation is optional.
About Le Wonder
Le Wonder is a collective studio managed by and for artists. Since 2013, the eponymous collective has occupied large, disused complexes in the suburbs of Paris, shaping the spaces in its own image: collective and individual workshops, a shared pool of machinery, and a space for experimentation and the emergence of artistic thought. Le Wonder aims to be an independent production and dissemination tool available to the young French and international art scene.
Diversity is at the heart of Le Wonder. Today, the collective hosts 70 permanent artists and offers four research and creation residencies to three artists and one curator, both French (outside the Paris region) and international.
On-site, practices and research intersect and are exchanged. Through these encounters, creations influence, evolve, and enrich one another, sometimes leading to unexpected collaborations. This collective and cooperative experience sketches new forms of co-creation and sharing.

AMOUNT
The invited artist and/or curator will receive a residency grant, allocated as follows:
- Artist’s fee: 1,200 euros
- Travel expenses to Le Wonder in Bobigny: lump sum of 250 euros
- Production costs (with receipts): up to 400 euros
- Accommodation is provided free of charge by Le Wonder for the residency period.

This call for applications is open to all artists and curators, regardless of age or nationality not living in Île-de-France. All artistic disciplines are accepted. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
