Onassis AiR 2025/26 aims to foster artistic research and process by providing space and time to arts professionals

Onassis AiR invites artists, curators, artisans, performance artists, choreographers, dancers, fashion and costume designers, writers, dramaturgs, architects, set designers, filmmakers, sculptors, and other creative practitioners from any medium of expression or discipline, to apply for their selected program strand that will take place in Athens, Greece.

This year, the program turns towards new directions, further embracing crafts and material-based practices. Onassis AiR seeks to enrich its artistic community by welcoming creatives working in fashion, design, and applied arts, navigating the potential of cross-disciplinary collaboration and co-existence within an environment of ongoing exploration.

The current ONASSIS AiR OPEN CALL 2025/26 invites applications for the strand of your choice, taking place in Athens, Greece, between September 2025 and July 2026. The total number of Residencies & Fellowships that will be awarded for this period is thirty-three (33):

- 20 Onassis AiR Extended Research Residencies
- 5 Onassis AiR Dramaturgy Fellowships
- 4 Onassis AiR AiR/ONX Fellowships
- 4 Onassis AiR Technical Residencies

The residencies and fellowships will take place in three cycles:

- Fall (8 September 2025 – 5 December 2025)
- Spring (2 February 2026 – 30 April 2026)
- Summer (11 May 2026 – 31 July 2026)

All program participants become part of the Onassis AiR Community. As Onassis AiR Fellows, they enjoy equal access to the residency spaces and resources, with opportunities to interact through a series of collective activities and events

Extended Research Residencies Program: artist’s fee of 1300 euros per month and a total research budget of 1000 euros
Dramaturgy Fellowships: artist’s fee of 1300 euros per month and a total research budget of 1000 euros
Onassis AiR/ONX Fellowships: artist’s fee of 1300 euros per month and a production budget of up to 3500 euros
Onassis AiR Technical Residencies: participation fee of 1300 euros per month.
